1. UPSEE- Counseling
Goel Institute sanctions 85% of the total seats available in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) shall be done through UPSEE -2020 counseling.
2. Management Quota and Vacant Seats (if any)
Goel Institute allows management quota for B.Tech. students per Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University guidelines for which the student has to approach the college. Candidates undergo a written test and Personal interview at the time of admission before the selection committee. The admission under this category would be made purely on the merit basis.
3. Admission to Non-Resident Indian (NRI)
Application NRI QUOTA For B. Tech direct admissions will take place as per the norms of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.
4. Admission to fee waiver seats for ECONOMICALLY WEAK Meritorious Students
Goel Institute supports economically weak meritorious students in B.Tech course for their admission to fee waiver seats. These seats are allotted by the Central Admission Board under chairmanship of Vice Chancellor of AKTU after verification of the documents at the counseling center. No tuition fee will be charged from the candidates admitted against such seats. 5. Direct Admission to Second year students through LATERAL ENTRY (FOR DIPLOMA HOLDERS & B.SC. GRADUATES)
Lateral Entry seats are limited in numbers and in addition to the sanctioned intake at first year level. However, students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the seats in this category with students of Diploma stream. All the admissions will take place as per the norms of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.
HOW TO APPLY FOR M.TECH
1. GATE COUNSELING
M.Tech admission shall be done through GATE Counseling.
2. MANAGEMENT QUOTA AND VACANT SEATS (IF ANY)
Goel Institute allows management quota for M.Tech students per Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam University Guidelines.
Admissions are made through the Counseling conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and also directly at the College level. The University issues notification for counseling in the month of June – July and invites applications from the students. The University provides the detailed instructions / information through the notification.
The criteria for direct admissions at College level is B.E. / B. Tech in relevant branches of engineering with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
HOW TO APPLY FOR DIPLOMA-ENGINEERING (POLYTECHNIC)
1. Board of Technical Education (BTE)- Counseling
Diploma admission shall be done through JEECUP counseling.
2. Management Quota and Vacant Seats (if any)
Goel Institute allows management quota for Diploma students as per Board of Technical Education Guidelines on vacant seats only.
HOW TO APPLY FOR MBA
1. UPSEE- Counseling
Goel Institute sanctions 85% of the total seats available in Master of Business Administration (MBA) to UPSEE Qualified candidates. Any candidate, who qualifies examination from any institution located in Uttar Pradesh are eligible to take admission.
2. RCRL Management Aptitude Test
Students who undergo and qualify RCRL Management Aptitude Test are eligible to take admission in the Institute.
3. Management Quota and Vacant Seats (if any)
Goel Institute allows management quota for MBA students as per the seats availability and AKTU guidelines for which the student has to approach the college.
4. Admission to Non-Resident Indian (NRI)

Qualified candidates, who have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST Category candidates ) without grace in each compulsory subject as Physics, Maths and one optional subject as Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject.
lf the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside of U.P., he/she has to produce domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) at the time of verification of document on certificate 3 (format available on www.upsee.nic.in)
2. THROUGH DIRECT ADMISSION UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA/ VACANT SEATS AFTER COUNSELING OF UPSEE
QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
For admission to first year of B. Tech. candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in required subject combination (two compulsory & one optional) taken together. The candidate is essentially required to pass without any grace marks (as per respective Board/University) in each subject of the subject group (As per rule)
MERIT LIST CRITERIA
The 15% seats in the institute shall be filled by the candidates under management quota as per eligibility criteria. The vacant seats in Management quota or vacant seats after counseling of UPSEE-2019 shall be filled strictly in following preference order, within fifteen days of the last date of counseling:
1. Qualified candidates of UPSEE-2019, fulfill the eligibility as per eligibility criteria. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in UPSEE-2019.
2. Qualified candidates of JEE (Main)-2019 fulfilling the eligibility as per clause of eligibility criteria for B. Tech.
3. Merit of the candidates based on total marks in subject combination of qualifying examination.
B.TECH 2ND YEAR (LATERAL ENTRY)
There are two modes for admissions
1.THROUGH UPSEE
Candidates who have passed ‘three years Engineering Diploma from an Institution located in U.P. with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) OR ‘whose parents (Father or mother) are domicile of Uttar Pradesh’ and he/she has passed three years Engineering Diploma with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) recognized by the Board of Technical Education, U.P., in any branch of Engineering (except Agriculture Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture), are eligible for admission to Second year in any branch of Engineering / Technology.
Candidates who have passed ‘three years B.Sc. degree and passed XII standard with mathematics as one of the subject’ from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate, are also eligible for admission to second year in any branch of Engineering/ Technology.
2.THROUGH DIRECT ADMISSION UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA/ VACANT SEATS AFTER COUNSELING OF UPSEE
Qualification criteria
For direct admission to 2nd Year of B.Tech., a candidate must have passed Diploma Examination of UPBTE or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks.
Merit List Criteria
The vacant seats in B. Tech. course after UPSEE counseling for lateral entry (second year) shall be filled within 15 days of the last date of counseling in following order

1. Students must have qualified B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical engineering, Electronics & Communication engineering or in Computer Science engineering or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate marks for GEN/OBC/Others & 55% for SC/ST.

2. THROUGH DIRECT ADMISSION UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA/ VACANT SEATS AFTER COUNSELING OF UPSEE -2019
QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
For admission to first year of MBA in the institution, a candidate must have passed minimum three years Bachelor degree course from any recognized Indian University; securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate without any grace marks.

1. By the qualified candidates of valid CMAT/CAT/MAT score fulfilling the eligibility criteria for MBA. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in respective entrance examinations.

For admission to first year of BBA, candidate must have Intermediate or equivalent examination with any stream (subjects). For General and Other Backward Classes candidates must secure at least 50%of marks and for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes minimum number of marks obtained should be 45% based on total marks of all subjects
ELIGIBILITY FOR BCA
For admission to first year of BCA, candidate must have Intermediate or equivalent examination with Mathematics Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer Application as a subject. For General and Other Backward Classes candidates must secure at least 50%*of marks and for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes minimum number of marks obtained should be 45%* based on total marks of all subjects.
ELIGIBILITY FOR B.COM
For admission to first year of B.COM, candidate must have Intermediate or equivalent examination with commerce or Intermediate with economics or mathematics as one of the subjects of study.
